Nilesh and Yashowardhan participated in an international astronomy project-All India Asteroid Search Campaign 2012.SPACE technology and education runs this project in collaboration with International Astronomical Search Collaboration. In this project participants receive exclusive real time sky data and by using special software they search for new asteroids in space and contribute in tracking Near Earth Objects.

Two amateur astronomers of our school- Yashowardhan Gupta of class IX D and Nilesh Gajaria of class X A have discovered a new asteroid – TOV6KS. The discovery is still at this initial stage and a team of astronomers is working on various parameters for further confirmation of this discovery. They both also observed two Near Earth Objects- 2012 HL31 and 2012 HL.
